It takes your breath away...High on Magic Mountain above the quaint town of Duncans Mills, on two acres of landscaped grounds drifting into forest, this spectacular home surveys the Russian River Valley. Bathed with sunshine during the day and cooled down by ocean breezes during the night, this lovely setting always pleases its fortunate visitors.

Two large private decks draped with flowering vines and teak lounge furniture, extend the length of the house facing the forested valley. A side deck provides a hot tub for up to 6, outdoor dining area, a relaxing 2-person hammock and gas barbecue. There is a fenced dog run on one side of the house and an additional deck for entertaining in front of the house.

Mandarin Skies is opulent with an Asian flavor, comfortable and inviting, perfect for large get togethers as well as a cozy space for two. Its location offers a variety of day trips from golfing at Northwood Golf Club or Sea Ranch, to wine tasting along River Road, to a cedar enzyme bath in Occidental.

This open, light, and spacious retreat (3,000 sq.ft.) offers designer furnishings, carpeted slate floors in the living area, fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom, and sprawling decks overlooking splendid views.

The dining room has walls of windows to enhance the amazing connection to nature that you will feel at this house. Outdoor patio dining off the hot tub is also available for watching sunsets and the deer that frequent the apple trees.

The gourmet kitchen has every amenity for glamorous dining affairs to ribs on the BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped serving your needs in style down to the napkin rings, including a cuisinart, ice-maker, and Belgian waffle-maker.

Here's a closer view of that hot tub, perched on the deck overlooking the valley under a 1,000 year old redwood tree.

Sleeping 9, Mandarin Skies has 3 bedrooms (three queen beds and a twin) and a queen sleeper in the living room, as well as 2.5 baths. All bedrooms have luxury linens and individual charm, with serene redwood views and separate sliding glass doors onto the deck.

The master suite is huge, with a gorgeous bath, and includes this cozy wood-burning fireplace to complete your romantic escape!

The Tibetan Room is the second bedroom, and it's beautifully serene. All three bedrooms have sliding glass doors leading to the hot tub and decks that runs the length of the house.

The Spa Room also contains a twin bed, making it the perfect place for couples with a little one they want to keep close by.

A special feature is the office located in the sky-lighted library loaded with books, games, puzzles, chess and over 250 videos. A desktop computer has high-speed internet, fax/printer, and scanner. A woodstove brings ambiance to this lovely work space.

Mandarin Skies is located on the western edge of Sonoma wine country, only 1 mile from Austin Creek; 2 miles to the Russian River; 6 miles to the Sonoma Coast; 9 miles to Guerneville; 12 miles to Bodega Bay; 50 miles to Napa Valley; 80 miles to San Francisco. This home is perfect for a get-together of family and friends and/or a romantic retreat and is adaptable for working weekends as well. Once you arrive, it's very hard to leave. The serenity is inescapable...in any season, for any reason.

The third bedroom is the Spa Room, a pleasantly calming room with lovely queen bed and sliding glass doors to the deck.

Please Note: most Holidays are an additional 10%

County tax is 11% on top of home rental cost.

Cleaning Fee: $150 (includes linens).

Damage Fee: In lieu of the standard security deposit there will be a non refundable damage fee of $40.00, which will relieve renters of the costs for all unintentional and incidental damage to the rental home or its contents up to a maximum of $500. The damage fee DOES NOT cover intentional damage, excessive cleaning (including dirty dishes), unscheduled hot tub drain/refill, or damage resulting from any violation of the rental agreement (i.e. exceeding the maximum number of guests), specific house rules, or dog rules.

Refundable Dog/Pet Deposit: $50 per animal

$20 dollar booking fee (non-refundable).
