The Stone's Throw Cottage - Monte Rio, California

Situated on 6 beautifully wooded yet sunny parcels on a hill above the Russian River in Monte Rio, Stones Throw Cottage is the best of both worlds - complete privacy and utter seclusion, but only a "stone's throw" from the beautiful Russian River.

The Cottage can sleep 10 - there are two bedrooms with queen size beds, a sun porch with a daybed that converts to a king size bed, and a separate suite downstairs with two bedrooms (king size bed and daybed with trundle that converts to king). Children and well-behaved pets are welcome (the Cottage is fully equipped for infants and toddlers with a Pack 'n Play, jogging stroller, high chair, baby backpack, and toys).

The huge living room has open cathedral ceilings, beautiful exposed beams, and windows everywhere. The view from every window is trees, trees, and more trees. You can't see another house from almost anywhere on the property.

Comfy furniture and a cozy gas fireplace await you in the living room.

The charming country kitchen has modern culinary accessories, like anodized aluminum cookware, "real" knives, and a combination coffee/espresso maker. You can also use the gas grill located on the deck off the kitchen/dining area.

Surrounded by trees, there is still plenty of sun on the large deck. You can relax there, or in the 7 person hot tub nestled among the ferns on the other side of the house.

The master bedroom is spacious and bright, with luxury linens and french doors leading to yet another deck.

The downstairs suite has the super comfy king-size bed, sliding glass doors to a small deck (and steps up to the hot tub), bathroom, and an additional bedroom with trundle beds. This would be the king-size bed you're looking at. You will sleep like a pro!

And the perfect vantage point to appreciate the arborial splendor? From inside a 7 person hot tub, tucked into the hillside, of course!

A great place for snoozing, or playing pirate in the treehouse (it has its own drawbridge)!

Prices for The Stone's Throw Cottage
Please Note: most Holidays are an additional 10%

County tax is 11% on top of home rental cost.

Cleaning Fee: $130 ($150 with large pets).

Damage Fee: In lieu of the standard security deposit there will be a non refundable damage fee of $40.00, which will relieve renters of the costs for all unintentional and incidental damage to the rental home or its contents up to a maximum of $500. The damage fee DOES NOT cover intentional damage, excessive cleaning (including dirty dishes), unscheduled hot tub drain/refill, loss of a watercraft, or damage resulting from any violation of the rental agreement (i.e. exceeding the maximum number of guests), house rules, or dog rules.

Refundable Dog/Pet Deposit: $100

$20 dollar booking fee (non-refundable).
